Food | Sala Vegan Mexican Restaurant @ Desa Sri Hartamas

 This place had just became one of my favourite places for healthy food.
Eating healthy doesn't mean you have to consume plain cold salad all the time.
Hitting macros is more important than eating less.

You can't be on calories deficit or any kind of diet all the time.
If you want to lose weight the healthy way, exercise regularly and eating healthy simultaneously is the only way!

 The environment and ambiance are fine for me.

Cozy, clean and simple interior.

Sala offers the Make-It-Yourself concept for the customers to create their own bowl or even wrap at only RM22.
I opted for their menu specialties.

 Chimichanga RM25

Chimichanga is originally a deep-fried burrito that is popular in Tex-Mex, Southwestern U.S. cuisine. The dish is typically prepared by filling a flour tortilla with a wide range of ingredients, most commonly rice, cheese, machaca (dried meat), carne adobada (marinated meat), carne seca (dried beef), or shredded chicken, and folding it into a rectangular package. It is then deep-fried and can be accompanied with salsa, guacamole, sour cream or cheese.

However, in Sala, in order to make it a healthier vegan version of Chimichanga, the meat was replaced by mushroom whereas the two yummy sauces were Vegan Sour Cream (Tofu-based) and Vegan Nacho Cheese.

Falafel Wrap RM22

Look at the size of the wrap!
I have always been a fan of Falafel.
How can I not try their falafel?
Definitely worth my recommendations as it is really good with appropriate amount of spices!

Besides Falafel, other ingredients involved are Tahini, Harissa, diced Onions and Bell Peppers.

Protein Smoothie RM15 
(+ RM3 for options of Almond Milk or Coconut Milk)

Ingredients involved are Protein Isolate, Banana and Almond Milk.
Definitely protein-packed beverage.
